In restaurant Sudersee you can enjoy our tasting. Restaurant owner Piet Bakker is happy to introduce you to his home-brewed liqueurs. You can taste them all while enjoying delicious matching snacks. 100% Enjoyment the way it's meant to be. Be surprised by the refined flavors of the 'Hindeloopen Landlopertje', 'Het Voddenwijfje', 'De Sørhavet Mede' and 'De Gulden Zwaardvis'. Come and taste them or order them in our webshop.

Liqueur Brewery!

Yes indeed, there is also a liqueur brewery in the Sudersee restaurant. A hobby that got out of hand. The idea arose from the earlier relationship between the Hindeloopers and the Vikings. These Normans used to make liqueur from honey. Partly. This story intrigued us and Piet Bakker went into the making of this Viking drink. Following this special fermentation process, he also started to focus on idiosyncratic liqueurs with names such as Voddenwijfje and Landlopertje. He then made even more idiosyncratic liqueurs based on forgotten fruits such as Quince and Medlar. Come and taste them or order in our webshop.

Fresh and honest

From the kitchen delicious dishes are served with fish as main part because the owner of the restaurant also has a fish buying company.

This ensures supplies of super-fresh fish. Also in all other products, such as coffee and meat dishes, restaurant Sudersee dares to stand out.

What our guests think

We hebben hier een heerlijke visschotel gegeten. De vis was goed klaargemaakt. Daarna hebben we genoten van een kop koffie met een glaasje zelfgemaakte likeur. De gastvrijheid was top. Het was leuk om te zien hoe de zelf gemaakte likeur worden gemaakt. Je kan ook een flesje mee naar huis nemen. Het is een aanrader om hier te eten.

Frits Brattinga
De Sudersee ontdekt met een wandeling door het leuke "stadje" Hindelopen. Rond 15.00u een drankje en borrelhap en daarna nog een vis garnituur. Prima van smaak. Dus de kaart bekeken en ontdekten een goed omschreven en uitziend visplateau. Tafel gereserveerd voor twee dagen later. We kunnen het iedereen aanraden en de bediening is erg prettig en de sfeer past bij de kwaliteit. En er is nog meer.... Dus ga eens langs.
